Having released their first chip but prior to floating on the NASDAQ, a start up wanted a cost-effective way of covering Europe, a region with no critical revenue mass at that time. Firefly undertook to cover Europe for them, increasing their turnover in the region from $3m to $28m in just five years. How did we achieve this extraordinary growth?
A major factor was entering the TV market space - a new departure for our principal and for us. This success has resulted in us building high-level relationships with all the major TV manufacturers in Europe, and has provided a blueprint for approaching new market sectors. Our close relationship with the principle also gave us an insight into the growing pains of a start up company, and the actions required to manage it from one stage of growth to the next.
